Does Your Personality Affect The Way You Build Your Business?

Every business in this on-line space is unique if only because of the unique personality of its developer/owner.

In order to be successful in your business, you need to take your personality traits into consideration.

Interestingly, it was in watching my dogs at the beach that this subtle fact was realized.

How do you think your personality affects your business building?

  • Agnes,
It was very difficult for me to find a business coach because most did not get my personality. I try to immediately make it plain that I am not too interested in what other folks are doing because I have always done things out of the box; however, most that I interviewed did not demonstrate that they could assist me in designing a business model that works for my personality and lifestyle.

  • Well I’ve always been a leap right in kind of gal. Demonstrated by my attempts at ice hockey. Us Brits were not born on skates like most Canadians but there I was signing up for the ladies league at the tender age of 42!

I`m still a crap skater but thankfully much better at business!

    • Having read some of your posts, Lorraine, it sounds to me like “leaping in” at hockey reaped its own rewards in camaraderie! 🙂

  • Loved the video Agnes and I think I am a bit like you as well a combination of both, sometimes I will charge in and other times I sit back a bit and also I can’t swim anyway LOL !!

  • Loved the video of your dogs Agnes. What an excellent way to get a point across. I always repond well to clear and simple explanations and watching the way your two”furry friends” behaved at the beach was a great teaching tool. I can always rely on you to bring a unique perspective to any subject!

  • Your video was an excellent way to describe the 2 differences. At first, I’m usually more cautious, because I like to look at all my options. Once I’ve made a decision though, watch out because I’m on the way to my “prize.” I am working with a coach for the next 3 months, and I plan to use the information and tools to build my business at a much faster rate than I am currently building it.

    Thanks for the video Agnes.

  • Love your video, not only because it does show the total
differences between the dog’s characters, but because it
is a lovely video of your dogs having fun.

I agree though with what you are comparing it to. I think
we all have a little of both in us.

  • Yes, this has been a challenge because I am sweet and spicy.

But there’s 2 things I know for sure:

    1. You can’t pretend to be someone you are not forever. sooner rather than later – your clients will see the real you.

    2. No matter what your personality – there is a market out there waiting for you to find them.

So be just YOU – since everyone else is already taken. 🙂

  • Agnes, I believe that your personality affects any and everything that you do. It is who you are. I would imagine that trying to live and work outside of your personality would be pretty miserable.
